Born August 21st 1956 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I traveled throughout the western United States during my childhood, going to 7 different schools in 5 different states during 3rd grade alone. Finally settled in Gresham during my 8th grade year, graduating from Gresham High School in 1974. Married to Lorna in 1995 who also graduated from Gresham in 1974. We have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. I have been a Portland Firefighter for 27 years. Currently I am a captain at station 14 in northeast Portland. One of highlights of my professional career was to be named Firefighter of the year in 2000. I was baptized into Christ on July 7th, 1979. I have attended River Hills Church since 1995. I was ordained as an elder at River Hills Church in 2005. Some of the highlights of my service at River Hills is the opportunity to make a difference in other people’s lives through one on one interaction and the opportunity to preach about subjects I’m passionate about.
